IBS Foods to Avoid If You Have IBS-D
Hey, Chris here.
Yesterday I gave my mom a call to see how she was feeling. She didn’t seem to be stressed or feel sick. All in all she was having a pretty good day. During our conversation she asked me if I could research and put together a list of IBS foods to avoid. She was talking specifically about foods to avoid if you have IBS-D.
IBS Foods to Avoid
I remembered the research I dug up from the University Of Pittsburgh Medical Center. They had talked about going on a low fiber, low residue diet for IBS with diarrhea during flare-ups. They went on to say that sometimes changing the number of meals you eat, choosing different foods, and adjusting food temperature can help relieve the symptoms from IBS-D.
Here is a list of foods, drinks and supplements to avoid for IBS-D
- bacon
- mayonnaise
- baked beans
- MSG
- beer
- NutraSweet
- broccoli
- nuts
